glibc/malloc error after installation- when running "dogecoind"

hello,

after installing dogecoin on linux (configure went okay- i had to use ./contrib/install_db5.sh pwd) i am trying to start the node and when i run "dogecoind" i get the following:

Fatal glibc error: malloc assertion failure in sysmalloc: (old_top == initial_top (av) && old_size == 0) || ((unsigned long) (old_size) >= MINSIZE && prev_inuse (old_top) && ((unsigned long) old_end & (pagesize - 1)) == 0)
Aborted

i'm seeing very little on the web for this error. can someone give me a tip? thanks!

Hi! Are you running a precompiled binary or building dogecoind from source? If you are building from source, you can install the prerequisites and compile the dependencies using the following commands (assuming an Intel PC):

sudo apt-get install autoconf automake make binutils ca-certificates curl \
                     faketime git-core libtool pkg-config python bison
sudo apt-get install g++-9-multilib gcc-9-multilib

make -C depends HOST=x86_64-linux-gnu
./autogen.sh
./configure --prefix=`pwd`/depends/x86_64-linux-gnu
make
